The New Year is here!

Setting my goals today!

  1. Becoming more active
  2. Eating healthier
  3. Being more organized
  4. Stress less
  5. Spend more time with family

My journal!
These are the things i need to work on this year. They may seem easy but sometime's you forget or say tomorrow i will do it. What you have to do is get a small notebook or journal to write all your goals in and if you meet one check it off. I wish you all luck on your goals this year!

Noontime tips

Keep your own energy humming along with these strategies for a satisfying midday meal.

  • Don't skip lunch. That way, you won't overeat later.
  • Do eat a complete meal rich in protein.  This can help optimize mood and alertness. Try fish with steamed veggies, or turkey and spinach on a whole-wheat wrap.
  • Do dine with others.  Research says socializing while eating lifts your mood.
  • Don't give in to the after-lunch slump. Go for a brief stroll and feel more energized the rest of the day.

Ways to cut at least 100 calories

1. Don't eat the crust on you pizza

2. Eat 2 egg whites instead of 2 whole eggs

3. Eat your sandwiches open-faced (with just one slice of bread instead of 2)

4. Scoop out the inside of a bagel

5. Leave the cheese off your sandwich. Instead pile on the veggies.

6. Eat fresh fruit instead of dried

7. Swap mayo for mustard: 2 tbsp of mayo have 200 calories; 2 tbsp of mustard has 30.
