Noontime tips

Keep your own energy humming along with these strategies for a satisfying midday meal.

  • Don't skip lunch. That way, you won't overeat later.
  • Do eat a complete meal rich in protein.  This can help optimize mood and alertness. Try fish with steamed veggies, or turkey and spinach on a whole-wheat wrap.
  • Do dine with others.  Research says socializing while eating lifts your mood.
  • Don't give in to the after-lunch slump. Go for a brief stroll and feel more energized the rest of the day.

Fitness

You want to burn 200 calories in 15 minutes. Well, all you need is a jump rope. Jumping rope is better on you knees than running. It takes concentration, coordination, and balance. It also tones your hips, thighs, and butt. This is a very inexpensive way to get some exercise in. You can get a good jump rope anywhere. Let me know how it goes. Good luck and have fun jumping. :)
